Biscay Eco Aggregates (BEA), DRIVEN BY PETRONOR (REPSOL GROUP) AND O.C.O TECHNOLOGY, WAS CREATED TO address the increasing problem of thermal residues, generated from the processing of waste, ending up in landfill sites and placing pressure on the environment
At BEA, we provide an innovative carbon capture process, which transforms the residues, using CO2 to create a unique and sustainable product known as ecoaggregate, while permanently storing the carbon within its materials.
We are pioneers across Continental Europe, leading the way towards decarbonisation. in collaboration with Petronor and O.C.O Technology, a global leader in carbon capture technology.
We provide a solution for waste, reducing the need for landfilling and reliance on natural aggregate extraction. We permanently capture industrial CO2 that would otherwise be emitted into the atmosphere.
Our ecoaggregates are compatible with current construction products (concrete, prefabricated, etc.), helping to reduce the carbon footprint of the sector without compromising its performance.
vision
To position Biscay Eco Aggregates and its ecoaggregate as the benchmark solution for the recovery of waste from thermal installations and the decarbonisation of construction, consolidating Biscay as a European benchmark in circular materials that permanently capture CO2.
mision
Our mission is to valorise waste streams such as thermal waste (APCr) which currently ends up in landfill sites, transforming it into a stable product known as ecoaggregates, manufactured by using accelerated carbonation with captured CO2.
To achieve this:
- We offer a solution for the removal of waste at the end of its useful life, helping to reduce pressure on landfill sites and promote the efficient use of natural resources.
- We capture and mineralise industrial CO2, preventing its emission into the atmosphere and creating an ecoaggregate which absorbs environmental carbon naturally.
- We manufacture ecoaggregates with a high technical specification suitable for construction (concrete, prefabricated, etc.), focusing on their residual origin, thus facilitating the circular transition without the need to resort to natural aggregates.
- We collaborate with waste generators, industries and administrations to scale this solution, integrating environmental sustainability with economic viability.
In this way, BEA contributes to solving the problem of waste management while generating a positive impact on emissions and the use of resources, always prioritising recovery over disposal.
